Our 83‑year‑old mother, Gloria, has lived in her home since 1985 and spent nearly 40 years running her former business the Fallsington Antique & Craft Shop in historic Fallsington. After the shop lost its lease and was forced to close in late 2024, her finances collapsed, and now she is facing two emergencies at once: a delinquent property‑tax deadline that could trigger foreclosure on her reverse mortgage, and a major plumbing disaster that caused part of her living‑room ceiling to collapse. The leak has led to mold, electrical damage, and structural rot, and she and my sister have been emptying buckets every few hours for weeks.
